Rescues

STCO actively engages in wildlife rescue operations, responding to emergencies involving distressed, injured, or displaced animals. Our team works closely with forest departments, veterinary experts, and local communities to ensure safe and ethical rescues. From mammals and birds to reptiles and other species, each rescue is operated with care, prioritizing animal welfare and rehabilitation. These operations not only protect vulnerable wildlife but also spread awareness about coexistence and conservation. Through rapid response, skilled restraint, and compassion, STCO contributes to reducing human-wildlife conflicts.
Due to the unethical, corporate vested interests, our wildlife has been paying through the nose since eternity. Hence, they become endangered, highly endangered, or critically endangered and thus extinct. We have our passionate-compassionate team members who are deployed across Rajasthan, who keep us posted about any hunting, poaching, or any sort of malpractice. We, in turn, keep the Forest Department and concerned officials informed and get it in the bud and hit the bull’s eye.

Reptiles

The Indian subcontinent is home to about 230 species of snakes. Of these, the venomous snakes are about 20 odd species of sea snakes (found only in the sea and sometimes stranded between tides) and around 15 species of land snakes. The smallest snake is 4 inches in length (worm snakes), and the Reticulated Python of India may reach up to 29 feet (9 meters) in length. The longest venomous snake in the world is the king cobra, which reaches up to 18 feet in length. In Rajasthan it houses approximately 28 species of serpents and two species of monitor lizards.

Mammals

STCO conducts timely rescue and rehabilitation of mammals such as leopards, hyenas, jackals, civets, and other species often caught in conflict situations or accidents. Our trained team ensures the safe extraction of animals from wells, traps, or urban spaces, minimizing stress and injury. Rescued mammals receive immediate medical attention and are released back into their niche under forest department supervision. These interventions not only save lives but also protect local biodiversity. By spreading awareness among communities, STCO helps reduce fear and conflict, fostering coexistence.

Birds

STCO is deeply involved in the rescue and rehabilitation of injured and distressed birds, including raptors, owls, peafowls, and migratory species. Many rescues involve cases of entanglement, dehydration, habitat disturbance, festive occasions (especially on Makar Sankranti and Rakhi, when kites are flown), or accidents. Our team provides immediate first aid, hydration, and veterinary care, followed by safe release once fit to fly. Special attention is given during kite-flying festivals and summer months when bird injuries peak. Through collaboration with forest officials and awareness drives, STCO highlights the importance of protecting avian species. Each successful rescue contributes to maintaining ecological balance and safeguarding the skies for future generations.
